Housekeeper

Position Summary:

Our client is seeking a capable and experienced Housekeeper living locally on Martha's Vineyard to provide hands-on care for their Martha's Vineyard residence. This is a year-round, live-out position.

 

Responsibilities:

• Assume full responsibility for the general and specialty cleaning of the home, including care of specialty materials and surfaces.
• Perform a daily walkthrough
• Develop a cleaning schedule, daily, weekly, seasonal, etc.
• Care for the principals' clothing and wardrobes (including laundry, ironing, pressing, etc.).
• Provision the home for the principals' arrival.
• Run errands as requested.

 

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will have at least three to five years of comparable work experience in a fine home or luxury hotel property, possess outstanding and verifiable references, work well independently and with a small team, and have excellent communication skills. The candidate must drive and have their own reliable vehicle.

 

Schedule:

Generally, Monday – Friday, 9:00 am – 5:00 pm (with flexibility offered). When the principals are in residence, flexibility is very important to cover a weekend day and some evening hours.

 

Compensation:

Excellent salary of up to $50/hour with a benefits package including health, dental and vision insurance, accrued paid time off, and annual discretionary performance bonus.
