Senior Oracle Database Administrator W/ AWS Experience

Five 9 Group is seeking a highly qualified and motivated Senior Oracle Database Administrator w/ AWS experience like you who is eager to join our growing team to contribute, store, match, share, and analyze biometric and biographic data in support of our critical Department of Homeland Security (DHS) biometric identity management system (IDENT).  Five 9 Group is excited to offer you a unique opportunity to join an O&M experienced team supporting one of the largest Biometrics databases in the nation. The successful candidate will have excellent skills in creating and maintaining Oracle RAC, Oracle Data Guard, Oracle ASM, AIX shell scripts, OEM monitoring and excellent communication skills. Proficiency in creating and maintaining AWS cloud databases is highly desired.

Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  1. Creating and maintaining Oracle RAC/ASM and Data Guarded Databases.
  2. Applying Oracle Grid Infrastructure and RDBMS patches.
  3. Standardizing and documenting procedures for team members
  4. Establishing and maintaining AIX shell scripts
  5. Create and maintain AWS Postgres, Redshift, Aurora

Required Skills / Qualifications:

  1. U.S. citizenship
  2. DHS HQ EOD required to start; must be able to obtain DHS HQ Final Suitability
  3. Oracle RAC
  4. Oracle ASM
  5. AIX and Unix scripting
  6. Strong knowledge of Database Restore and Recovery procedures.
  7. Strong knowledge of Oracle internals

Desired Skills / Qualifications:

  1. Degree in computer engineering, computer science, information systems, or related field of study
  2. 10+ years of relevant experience
  3. Golden Gate
  4. Experience with AWS Database technologies
  5. Expertise with large scale, enterprise IT O&M, technologies, and programs
  6. Currency in automated code scanning, automated testing, continuous integration, continuous deployment, and continuous assessment concepts and technologies
  7. Experience implementing secure DevOps methodologies
