South Metro Animal Emergency Care is seeking veterinary technicians to join our highly skilled group of professionals for day, swing, and overnight shifts. We offer a generous overnight shift differential in addition to great base pay and benefits. Some holiday and weekend hours will be required.   

Job responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Deliver exceptional, compassionate nursing care to patients utilizing all your technical skills such as:
    • Triage emergency cases as they arrive.
    • In-patient care for critical patients, including exemplary comfort care.
    • Perform digital radiography utilizing proper techniques for positioning of patients and safety equipment.
  • Obtain health history from clients and ensure documentation is accurate and complete within Cornerstone and SmartFlow.
  • Advocate for patients and clients by answering client's questions and addressing their concerns.
  • Readily demonstrate empathy for clients in stressful and emotionally driven moments such as end of life.
  • Assist with patient procedures and surgeries, including anesthetic induction and monitoring, pre- and post- operative patient care.
  • Willingness to guide, mentor, and support fellow team members is a must.
  • Constantly advance your knowledgebase and skill set.
