Position reports to the COO and will oversee a team of 6.  

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Main objective is to operate a profitable Pilot Shop operation by providing exceptional customer service through efficient systems that make the store truly the only one of its kind in the southeast.

Responsible for the leadership, organization, and management of the team.

Create an efficient, pleasant, and profitable retail environment that makes it fun and easy for customers to do business with the store.

Train the team to know the products, interact and build relationships with FXE base customers in order to deliver one-on-one service.

Communicate with the COO on products that should be carried in the terminal lobby showcase and work with customer support representatives in the main terminal to promote the store.

Direct the purchasing, pricing, promotion, and display of store merchandise with the use of systems to reorder, label and to know what products do not sell.

Oversee the recruiting, training, and scheduling of personnel needed to accomplish the store goals seven days a week.

Establish individual goals, sales objectives, and accountability with each teammate and as a team in order to excel.

Oversee P&Ls, budget and forecasting

Maintain control and adjustment of paperwork and inventory control systems to maximize store turnover and profitability.

Set pricing schedules for stock items, listing price, sale price, and/or discounts.

Ensure the protection and reasonable care of company assets.

Provide constructive input to company management regarding issues significant to overall or department improvement.

Maintain a clean, safe, well-organized, and pleasant store for customers and work place for teammates. 

Responsible for ways to actively market and aggressively find new avenues of business, maximize existing business and strengthen teamwork and cross promotion between Banyan departments. 

Strive to capture information on all customers to accomplish ongoing marketing.

Seek out potential markets to expand sales and new vendors for unique products and better pricing.

Maintain written operations procedures, including duties and responsibilities, keeping them and performance reviews current at all times.

Assist on the sales floor as needed.

Monitor that all parts are placed in correct inventory locations, entered accurately, and boxes and shelves are labeled.

Monitor that purchase orders are issued for all purchases and matched with vendor billing.

Monitor that parts are checked at receiving and placed in stock or issued to a direct sale.

Prepare guidelines for normal levels of stocked parts and store supplies to ensure automatic recording.

 

JOB SPECIFICATIONS:

A high school diploma or the equivalent and a minimum of five plus years of retail experience dealing with inventory and purchasing.  Minimum of two years retail management experience. A strong understanding of profit and loss statements, and how these statements can help run the business.  Familiarity with ecommerce or start up retail company is ideal. Aviation experience a plus but not required..
