NON-EXEMPT                                                                         JOB TITLE: IT Intern

 

REPORTS TO:  Chief Information Security Officer

 

POSITION SUMMARY:  Assist with a variety of IT projects within the bank.  Help identify IT concerns and suggest possible solutions. Engage in company culture.  

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Job Specific

  • Assist with Windows 11 upgrade project.
  • Troubleshoot Core/Ancillary Program issues, maintain a current working knowledge of the various releases.
  • Respond to helpdesk tickets in a timely fashion and delegate tickets to the correct individuals.
  • Reset passwords on bank computer programs for employees.
  • Help answer technical questions from end users.
  • Help train end users on IT related topics.
  • Contribute to improving documentation for IT procedures.
  • Run Cat5 cables as needed.
  • Remove hard drives (and destroy as instructed by ISO) from old machines so that old machines can be recycled.
  • Install Hardware and Software at branch locations.
  • Assist with identifying organizational pain points related to IT and suggest solutions.
  • Assist with technology related projects.
  • All other duties as assigned.

  • Maintain regular attendance. Report to work on time; adhere to time frames for breaks and lunch.

  • Participate in appropriate training opportunities and in a timely manner.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY:  None

 

MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: Education and/or classes related to information technology required.
  • LICENSE, CERTIFICATIONS, ETC.:  Valid motor vehicle driver’s license preferred.

 

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSA’S):

  • Working knowledge of personal computer (Microsoft Office products). 
  • Ability to use general office machines.
  • Attentive to detail and very accurate. 
  • Self-motivated. 
  • Ability to interact effectively with customers, management and other employees. 
  • Critical and analytical thinking skills, problem solving abilities.
  • Strong customer orientation.
  • Strong communication skills, both orally and written. 
  • Must be flexible, able to work under pressure to meet deadlines and prioritize work flow.

  • Ability to hear well enough to communicate with customers, co-workers and outside bank personnel.
  • Ability to read and write.

 

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • Normal daily physical activities to include, walking, standing, sitting, stooping, bending, pushing, pulling.
  • Must be able to read reports and use computer.
  • Daily lifting up to 50 pounds (i.e. technology equipment, etc.)

 

WORK ENVIRONMENT: Indoors, environmentally controlled. This position may require travel by car to visit other company locations.
