VP of Operations
The Vice President of Operations will plan, direct, coordinate, and oversee operations activities in the organization, ensuring the development and implementation of efficient operations and cost-effective systems to meet the organization's current and future needs. The VP of Operations supervises people managers and individual contributors.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Establishes, implements, and communicates the strategic direction of the organization's operations division.
- Oversee all manufacturing and production planning functions, ensuring efficiency, quality, and on-time delivery.
- Manage the supply chain, including sourcing raw materials, managing inventory, and mitigating risks.
- Drive process optimization initiatives to streamline operations, improve productivity, and reduce costs.
- Establish manufacturing policies in the areas of Lean Manufacturing techniques, materials, usage, shipping and receiving, capacity planning, production scheduling, safety, customer satisfaction, employee relations and performance measures.
- Build, develop and manage a team capable of carrying out needed operations strategies and improving employee relations.
- Collaborates with executive leadership and other divisions to develop and meet company goals while supplying expertise and guidance on operations projects and systems.
- Collaborates with site managers to optimize operations and ensure smooth workflows.
- Manages inventory levels and implements efficient inventory management systems.
- Identifies, recommends, and implements new processes, technologies, and systems to improve and streamline organizational processes and use of resources and materials.
- Ensures that departmental decisions and project plans such as those for staffing, development, organization, material efficiency, hardware acquisitions, and facilities are in line with the organization's business plan and vision.
- Establishes, communicates, and implements operations-related policies, practices, standards, and security measures to ensure effective and consistent support and execution.
- Reviews and approves cost-control reports, cost estimates, and staffing requirements for projects.
- Establishes and administers the department's budget.
- Presents periodic performance reports and metrics to the General Manager and other leadership.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.

- This position requires 25-40% travel.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, Logistics, or Supply Chain Operations is preferred.
- MBA preferred.
- Minimum of ten years of senior management experience in a Manufacturing/Logistics Environment.
- Manufacturing experience at a $100MM+ company.
- Experience managing multiple concurrent projects.
- Experience in Lean/Six Sigma manufacturing operations.
- Strong understanding of lean manufacturing principles and best practices in supply chain management.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
